[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]The Legacy Center believes in the Teens at Lockerpower of Developmental Assets and because of this, we have been leading efforts to encourage youth-serving organizations in Midland to instill asset building into their programs. TLC has conducted three youth studies since 2006 to assess the level of assets and identify risk-taking behaviors. As a result of these efforts, the average number of assets among our youth population has increased from 19.9% to 21.9% and almost all risk-taking behaviors have decreased.

The 2016 study was funded by The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation and Mid State Health Network. It was administered with the permission of local school superintendents, with support of school administrators.
