Programs
Recovering Youth Futures
A treatment program for Midland County youth 18 years and under who struggle with substance abuse disorder.
Students will meet one-on-one with a Youth Intervention Specialist. Based on that assessment, a referral may be made for customized outpatient treatment at a participating service provider.
This powerful program factored into Midland County’s 98% decrease in alcohol and drug offenses for ages under 18 since 2002.
Strengthening Families
Parenting is not easy. It is even more challenging when a child is engaged with the juvenile justice system. Strengthening Families is a multi-week program with weekly classes for parents and their children to build better relationships and develop skills to reduce risk-taking behaviors.
S.E.E.K. (Safe Environment for Every Kid)
SEEK (Safe Environment For Every Kid) offers a practical, evidence-based approach to help primary care providers address targeted risk factors for child maltreatment for families with children aged 0-5 years.
The goal is to identify risk factors among parents as early as possible (during pregnancy and/or well-baby visits) and provide referrals for local resources. SEEK aims to strengthen families, support parents and promote children’s health, development and safety. This ultimately helps reduce child maltreatment and neglect.
