The voice of our community is essential to understanding the full picture of the strengths and needs of Midland County.

  • This survey examines the supports and strengths adults have both internally and within their families and communities.
  • It is intended for adults ages 19-59.
  • Our age ranges are aligned with the Older Americans Act, which defines older adulthood as beginning at age 60. We encourage those aged 60 and older to take the Adult Thriving Assets: 60+ survey, instead.
  • The data from this survey will reveal critical gaps in services that can be addressed to help our community members succeed and thrive.
  • There is no current survey in Midland County that gives us detailed data such as this.
  • The survey is anonymous with 70 questions. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey is available here (coming soon) and via paper copy at local locations/events (coming soon).
  • The Adult Thriving Assets are 39 positive supports and strengths that adults need in order to feel successful. They were developed based upon the 40 Developmental Assets (Search Institute) that youth need to thrive. See all 39 Adult Thriving Assets here.
  • Yes! There are no names or identifying information attached to the survey responses. Your responses cannot and will not be traced back to you.
  • Though it would give us more complete and accurate data, you do not have to answer every question. You can skip any question you feel uncomfortable answering.
  • At the end of the collection period, data will be given to The Legacy Center for Community Success for analysis. There is no identifying information tied to the data. Once the analysis is complete, a report will be available to the public.
  • The data provided will be used to inform decision-making and program evaluation countywide. The value of a study of this kind depends upon the participation of many adults.
  • By helping us, you ensure that the people in our community are accurately represented and their voices are heard. The data from the surveys will directly highlight community priorities and guide more effective programs and services.
